Why did baptism replace circumcision?

I recall that Jesus had said, that he did not come to change even a dot of the old laws. (I can’t recall the exact passage numbers). If that is the case, why is it that circumcision was replaced by baptism and a few other things? Thanks, I’m just trying to get this clear in my mind.

Hi,

You failed to mention the next sentence: " I have come to fulfill the Law" Mt 5:17-20. Baptism is the fulfillment of circumcision. Jesus’ New Covenent is the fulfillment of the old one.
