Why did God create me if he knew I would spend an eternity in hell?

I was thinking about the bolded bit and I thought humility is in itself a grace. We are not humble on our own account. Humility is the work of God’s grace.

Have you read the book “Divine Mercy in My Soul” - Diary of St Maria Kowalska? In this book, Jesus tells St. Maria that He wants to give people many Graces, but they are unable to receive them because of lack of humility.

Though I understand what you are saying. All Good comes from God, Humility itself is a Good thing. But in the end, unless we make the decision to choose Good, it will not happen.

Of course I am not saying that we need to cooperate. But God first offers the grace then we respond. The initiative is always God’s. We just accept. But even in our response God gives us the grace to enable a positive response. That is why a No is so much more evil than we can ever imagine, precisely because the grace to say Yes is always given. Always.

However, we can reject the initial offer and thus harden our heart in the process.

Let me put it this way, the moment we think we are humble, then we can be certain that pride has crept back in.

I completely agree! We have a beautiful example of a Humble soul in Our Blessed Mother Mary! If this were not True, God could not have filled Her full of Grace! 🙂

That depends.

Male androids would not complain because they lack the free will to do so.

However, female androids would be programmed to complain, else the male droids would sit around all day drinking beer and watching droid-sports and would never get anything done. When the mail droids were off actually doing some work, the female droids would probably whine to God about why the male droids don’t give them enough attention.

Yeah. And they would be wrong anyway.

That reminds me: if a male android speaks alone in a forest and no female android is there to hear him, is he still wrong? 😉
 
Our oneness is God all loving. He would not give up His calling to sanctity. Our focus must be on Love, and God is Love. Self-gratitude and idolatry is our choice. God gives us a chance to Love and be One with Him through free will. God also give us the power to make choices that reflect or reject His Love for us. The Gospel says, “You can live in the Spirit or live in the Flesh. The Spirit fights the flesh, and the flesh fights the Spirit.” It gives us the right over the holy Angels to make our own choices to accept Him.

The devil hates our right to make these choices. The devil wants to destroy our right to make that choice, to the Flesh or to the Spirit. The Spirit is eternal life in bliss, whereas the flesh is damming because of its self-providing closure on the Light of Christ. Our God is a just God. We must humble ourselves before Him. Our salvation is through our Lord Jesus Christ’s suffering, death and resurrection that made us understand our freedom from the devil who lives among us. The devil IS and angel with diminished connection with the power of an God’s Angels of Light. That is why their attempts at our spiritual souls is limited to our choices. Love, Lust, Narcissism, comfort wants, greed, promiscuity, idolatry, complacency, mineralization of the human value, anger, governmental control of morality and ethics, folding away from our calling for service to the poor, and progressional humanism is not of God’s plan, but rather secular encouragement to put Man against God’s Holy Will.

A more orthodox answer is that hell, evil, sin, dmanation are NOT part of God’s creation or plan, because, in fact, they are really non-existent things. All creation is good, as it is from God, but evil is in fact an absence or negation of creation/order. This is St. Augustine’s answer.​

So then those that go to hell are really going to non-existence, since hell is a non-existent thing? But Jesus taught thru stories that there is a hell. Would He teach us something that didn’t exist?

But God didn’t create you for the purpose of torturing you forever. He created you so that
you would be one with him in enjoying glory forever. That you be his son whom he washed in the blood of His Only Beloved Natural Son to pay for all sins. This is His true intention for you. We may say that understanding how all the pieces fit in this question,
and maybe our own thumble sized brain cannot comprehend the space size knowledge of God’s workings, but one thing we can say, He loves each and everyone and does not desire anyone any where at any time to be anywhere except by his side to experience what love really means. And if something falls apart in this house of sticks, it may well be our own behavior and misunderstanding of the directions that were provided.

We are really talking about our inheirting a home much larger and more beautiful than any
one’s home on this planet. The size of which we could not even begin to imagine, filled with all sorts of kind, interesting, giving, people. This is what he made you and me for,
to be with him in all the grandeur that we could possible stand withou exploding from shear joy.

Is any father a failure as a father when he does everything that a good father should do
and be and yet his son turns into a failure? Are there any guarantees to success of a
good father if he does everything right? The simple answer is “NO”. Why?

Just a thought
