If Jesus was the “Word” prior to being born as a human, why did he descend to the earth when he did? Why did God not send him prior to the great flood of Noah’s time? Maybe God would not have needed to flood the planet if Jesus had been let down to save the people, as he did during his time here.

“There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven”

Why did God not send him prior to the great flood of Noah’s time?
In Matthew 13:4-9, 18-23, Jesus tells a parable about a farmer sowing seed in various types of ground, about how only the seed he sowed on good ground yielded an abundant harvest.

Perhaps God foresaw that, because of the hardness of their hearts, mankind would not have accepted Jesus had he come before the Flood and that only Noah’s family had a chance of some day, in the very distant future, of being adequately prepared to receive Jesus for salvation.

Thank you. This has actually been very helpful. I wasn’t sure that anyone would be able to help me. Thank you!
