Why did the Lucifer sin? Are angels imperfect and corrupted like humans which is under the effect of the fruits?

According to Christianity, Lucifer was angel but became devil by sinning, right? Why could Lucifer sin? Are angels corrupted and imperfect like humans? If not, how could Lucifer felt jealous, envy etc? Did he eat the fruits too?

According to Vico and the catechism, angels are not that perfect. However, I wanna see more answers about this topic.
 
Lucifer, as we were taught was a beautiful angel and loved by God. He became jealous of God and wanted to be # 1 in heaven. He was cast out of heaven and having followers, they went with him. He is forever banned from heaven, for he chose and has been"" prowling around the world seeking the ruin of souls". since then…God bless you and keep you.
 
The Fall was a result of humans purposely disobeying God. Angels are different and it did not take an external factor to corrupt them. My understanding is that Angels have always had free will.
 
Lucifer lost respect for God when he: found out that angels were supposed to aid humans, and that God would assume the body of Jesus and actually become one of them and even die a human death.

Lucifer saw this as beneath all of him and thought we was better and could rule better than God. Hence the pride appeared and then the Fall.
 
@SteelArchangel, what is the source of this? Scripture, oral tradition, CCC? I have never heard this before.
 
My source, albeit controversial for some, was Fr. Malachi Martin.

Decades worth of experience as an exorcist/Vatican insider, his analysis on this makes the most sense.
 
So the angels can disobey/sin against God whenever they want, even they have not ate the fruits?
 
Angels had only one decision to ever make and after this their will became fixed and it all happened in an instant. Angels don’t work off time like we do. after the coming of The Virgin Mary and Jesus had been revealed to them they had a choice of whether or not to submit to this. Lucifer out of pride refused to serve humans as humans are less superior than angels. The instant he and 1/3 of his angels made the decision to not serve there was no coming back.

The reason why God allowed their will to be fixed because unlike us they are so superior and their intelligence is 10000000 times better than ours they knew enough information and they knew the choice they were making unlike us who make mistakes and so whatever choice they make they are set in it.

they are not corrupted by the fruit, the fruit thing happened after the fall of Satan. thats when satan began his mission to destroy human souls because he hates them
 
Why does Lucifer has an ability to feel the pride? That looks like corrupted humans.
 
After the creation of the Angels God gave them the option to make a choice. God Presented the situation (Birth or Christ and A woman who will be above all the angels (Mary)). They had a choice to submit to this or to not submit. Lucifer thought he was too perfect and God like to submit to a human. It was the ONE and ONLY choice God gave the angels and Lucifer and His Legions said we will not serve, and the battle of heaven began and he was cast down to hell. From that moment the Will of the Angels were fixed and unchangeable. the angels who stuck by God had a fixed will which was in unity with God, and the ones who rebelled are the damned ones who’s souls a fixed for eternal damnation and the destruction of souls.

The Angels are in infinite realms they don’t work off time so everything that occurs is in an instant and remains like that forever. our souls become similar to the angels upon our death and becomes fixed the moment we die. If we chose not to serve God then we will be damned if we chose to serve him then we will be saved

Humanity sinned without being corrupted by original sin first. So did some of the angels. Lucifer looked into himself and determined that he rejected God as his highest end. In both cases it was an intellectual choice, unswayed by animal passions.

Because the devil attacked them. But no one attacked angels.

Man didn’t do so until tempted by the devil, but it was within them to have the capacity to do so.

They are pure spirits ,and they where more superior to humans and had the knowledge of God and endowed with virtues ,they where corrupted because of disobedience and Pride
