Why didn't God just put us in Heaven with Him instead of living on earth first?

Well people are thinking this through rather falsely in regards to divine revelation by Catholic visionaries like St. Anne Catherine Emmerich. In her book entitled the Life of Jesus Christ and Biblical Revelations, she was shown by God that at first Adam and Eve were spiritual beings living on paradise. And they were created by I AM THAT I AM (God of course but for sake of point) because they and us now were created so that we can fill the void that the fallen angels created. Therefore, God would multiply Adam and Eve’s children on the earth through His own plan not the way it is now. The saint expressed that Adam and Even were shown how they would bear children before they disobeyed God. But when Satan beguiled Eve to take of the apple where God had primarily forbidden them to eat from the tree (this book is more detailed), all started to materialize as Adam ate the apple. The light gradually faded in them and things became fleshly or materialized. It was not supposed to be that way. In this book set, there are four volumes. And her book about the Passion of Jesus Christ inspired the movie by Mel Gibson. I really admire how visual her descriptions are given her time and place because they were entirely given to her by visions, but I couldn’t describe visions for the life of me! A scribe dedicated his life after meeting her to record her visions.
Adam and Eve being spiritual beings is actually a heresy. The Catholic Church believes God created man a matter-spirit creature.

This is a specific detail I didn’t know. Is this somewhere in the CCC? I’m not challenging you, I simply want to reference the CCC as I am making attempts to reference it more often in explenations of our faith.

Or, what is the point of having planet earth? Why not create us and place us in Heaven immediately to be with Him?
I don’t think we can really answer that question; nonetheless, I think we might be more blessed than the Angels who were created in Heaven for we can have the Lord into our soul in a very special way - the Eucharist - that the Angels can not have - That is how much God loves us.

FROM THE CCC

359 “In reality it is only in the mystery of the Word made flesh that the mystery of man truly becomes clear.”

St. Paul tells us that the human race takes its origin from two men: Adam and Christ. . . The first man, Adam, he says, became a living soul, the last Adam a life-giving spirit. The first Adam was made by the last Adam, from whom he also received his soul, to give him life… The second Adam stamped his image on the first Adam when he created him. That is why he took on himself the role and the name of the first Adam, in order that he might not lose what he had made in his own image. The first Adam, the last Adam: the first had a beginning, the last knows no end. The last Adam is indeed the first; as he himself says: “I am the first and the last.”

417 Adam and Eve transmitted to their descendants human nature wounded by their own first sin and hence deprived of original holiness and justice; this deprivation is called “original sin”.

Well my intention was not to believe nor make others believe in a heresy. That’s a pretty strong word to use there. Well yes, God created Adam and Eve from the earth so I did make a mistake to say they were spirit. I confused the part whence Anne spoke of the lights emanating from Adam. For instance, “The sunbeams around Adam’s mouth bore reference to a holy posterity from God, which, had it not been for the Fall, would have been effectuated by the spoken word.” So in this chapter entitled Adam and Eve, it seems the Saint is pointing out what her God-given messages gave her. So I believe now that our first parents were made of the earth but they had souls just like we do, except before the Fall they were pure. There was no need for purification now we need to go to purgatory if we should be cleansed from any sin before entering Heaven. So yes they were made of the earth, Adam of the earth then Eve out of Adam’s flesh. Good thing you pointed that out to me.

I better be careful about these things don’t want to say anything that’s gonna render me justice from the Almighty. Cause we shouldn’t err others especially in matters of faith.I think we’re living in a time of confusion, it was prophesied, I’ll have to do some homework over that one.
Hope this what you are looking for.

Thank you for correcting that. 🙂

**I would hardly hold this to be revealed doctrine.

Furthermore, Emmerich is not a saint. While she was declared a beata by Pope John Paul the Great in 2004, she has not yet been canonized.

In any case, the original question cannot be answered.

To wonder why God didn’t do things otherwise than what and how He did them is nothing but foolish speculation.**

after reading through the posts i think there are several answers.
Code:
#1 as punishment for the original sin.
#2 as a test like the one given to the angles.
#3 out of His love he put us on earth so that we could chose freely for ourselves.
i am sure there are more. but these three seem to sum up the big reasons.

this has been a very informative thread, thank you
i don’t think we can ever be sure about why He (God) put us hear until we actually met him after death

Peace be With you:)

Why didn’t God just put us in Heaven with him instead of on Earth?

Well if we was in heaven with him. How would we convert over sinners? How would we get to know what the true meaning of unconditional love is? How would we be able to have his plan, and being able to fulfill it?

I Feel we were put here on earth first to help those whom can’t seem to find God, and Teach them how to love unconditionally, to be able to enter into his kingdom with him. To teach the unbelievers about God and How he’s the only one who really existed before man and all living things.

My opinion Halos

Or, what is the point of having planet earth? Why not create us and place us in Heaven immediately to be with Him?
Why would He do that? He already had Angels with Him in Heaven. A third of them fell. Some say that one of the main reasons for the revolt by Lucifer and his followers was that they, the Angels, would have to serve man. Some of them had too much pride to do that. And think, they existed in the presence of the Divinity.l. They were pure spirits had great intellect and would never die. And they fell. What do you think would have happened to us?

You see I think the whole thing, all the way around is designed to give us and the Angels the opportunity to give ourselves completely to God no matter how hard it may be to do so.
