Why do apparitions have garments on?

If the fall of man made Adam and Even realize their nakedness resulting in them having to create garments to cover their nakedness, then why do apparitions come clothed?

And why do certain visionaries who claim to see heaven claim they see people walking in robes? If the curse is lifted in heaven why would they need covering?

Christ was crucified naked as a result of doing away with mankind’s nakedness. So wouldn’t part of the new man not need any such things are garments?
 
You could simply view it as Heaven still interacting with a fallen world.
 
In Scripture, the angels usually appear as robed men. Since angels are incorporeal beings, we can gather that their physical appearance is for the sake of those to whom they appear. Similarly, most of the saints in heaven are not yet reunited with their bodies, so the look of their apparitions would likewise be, as it were, simulated. The Mother of God, though possessing her body, not only wears different apparel, but has different physical features at different apparition sites, according to the culture in which she appears. Whether or not there is clothing in Heaven, I think we can safely say that generally, the way a given apparition looks is for the sake of those who are given the privilege to see it.
 
The ‘santified’ in heaven are wearing white robes – those who have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb. (Revelation).
 
If apparitional bodies were nude, that would send an altogether misleading message! :)🙂

Quidquid recipitur ad modum recipientis recipitur, which means, Whatever is received is received in the manner of the receiver.
 
Clothes can be fun. Getting a new dress, cute shoes, etc. is something many people like. So, maybe in Heaven, the people have the choice of picking out their clothes and wearing them.
 
Why do some mystics report Christ as being crucified with four nails and some with only three?

Maybe just ask God when you get to heaven, cause none of us really have the whole answer for everything!

Our Lady both possesses a glorified body and is “omnipotent by grace”…so I think changing her appearance at will would be a cinch.

Don’t take the creation and fall story of Adam and Eve literally.

When Adam and Eve sinned, the author used the common analogy of physical nakedness, but was really explaining the condition of the human soul as a consequence of sin.

The nakedness Adam and Eve experienced was the understanding that their very failed being was exposed to God’s eyes. They were stripped of the false image the serpent had created in them, to be as God.

They were naked in their entire being before God.

Its the same as ourselves when we first realize that God is real and knows our true self and not the false image we’ve portrayed to the rest of the world.

We then feel naked and in our anguish cry out for salvation.

Jesus comes to us as our savior and gives us the comfort of clothing us in his life.

So, why did they use fig leaves to cover themselves and God make them skins from animals?

Again, don’t read it literally, but try to understand it from a spiritual point of view, which the story is intended to convey.
