Why do gays want marriage? What do they hope gain from it?

I prove your statement untrue by swimming a single black dog into your sea of “all dogs are white” logic. Advocacy for same-sex marriage is not based on a misunderstanding of anything. You believe otherwise. That’s where we are.
This proves nothing. Heck, it doesn’t even attempt to prove anything. I’m not sure what “all dogs are white” logic means.

Yes, advocacy for same-sex marriage is based on a misunderstanding about sex and marriage. The end of sex is procreation. (This is what ‘sex cells’ are all about.) Homosexual acts are, well, I would say they are ‘sterile’ or ‘barren’ but that is not quite right: they aren’t even sex acts! They are the equivalent of banging a guitar with a hammer and calling it music because it makes a sound.

Same-sex couples CANNOT make a marriage, though of course, any gay person may marry a person of the opposite sex. (Many have.)

And, no, I don’t really care about moral theology. 🤷 It’s all a bit silly to me.
Then why are you in a forum devoted to discussing moral theology? I don’t care about hockey or fashion—you never see me in forums set up to discuss those subjects.

Because often arguments get quite secular. Or sometimes things are justified using natural law, but I don’t consider that to be theological, because I know atheists and agnostics who use that to claim that stuff is deviant or wrong. This is the first time I’ve seen anyone on here claim that Satan causes same-sex marriage.
