At age 32 thought I had everything figured out…nope  Figures.

John Paul 2 was interesting but I didn’t really feel anything when I saw him preach on tv. Francis though, he hits something close to home.

Any ideas why I feel like crying when he prays over sick kids, etc?

Hormones?!? Anyone else feel this way?

Thanks!

Kat

Perhaps you are crying because you are touched by what appears to be his great love for mankind.

Just a thought,
Mary.

We all have certain saints and popes and holy people who touch us. Perhaps Pope Francis and you just have a special connection. You should pray for him (and the sick kids) when you feel this way.

My guess would be that as you’ve aged you’ve matured in your religious/spiritual practice. This has caused you to become more conscious, awake, and compassionate. Another thought that comes to mind is that you simply relate to Pope Francis more closely than you did with Pope John Paul 2. Just thoughts. Be well.
