Why do Muslims have their own religion?

Qur’an just mentions the ‘son’ not any name. Regarding Jesus–Its a long topic. Not here.

This position of some rather brainwashed (by missionaries) Christians is very problematic. Throughout history, Judaism,Christianity and Islam were seen as “Abrahamic faiths” --God of these religion was same. Now in recent history, insecure Christians are coming up with this weird notion…This put Christianity in a VERY problematic situation :

1-Christianity is not a part of Abrahamic traditions because they don’t worship the God of Abraham,Moses , David etc because you yourself said that your god yhwh is not the one true God of Islam and Judaism,Allah (which means THE GOD in Arabic)
This is a terrible argument. I did not say YHWH is not the go of Islam and Judaism… I said Allah is not the one true God of the Judeo-christian faith.

Secondly christianity has been an Abrahamic faith longer than Islam existed lol. Infact the name YHWH was revealed to Moses and the Patriarchs but ‘Allah’ was not.

Thirdly missionaries are not where I get these ideas from. All it takes is for one to do some research on Allah and YHWH and it will become plain as daylight. Here are some of the differences between the two :

(1) YHWH sees the jews as his chosen nation. Allah hates jews and favors muslims only.

(2) YHWH has a son (Proverbs 30:4, John 3:16). Allah does not have a son as it says he does not beget.

(3) YHWH created angels and a third of them rebelled and were cast out. Today they are knon as ‘demons’ or ‘fallen angels’. Allah created jinns (demons) from fire and there are good and bad jinn

(4) YHWH loves the whole world. Allah loves muslims only and hates the unbelievers

I could do this all day.

2- JEWS themselves consider Muslims to be VERY close to them. Judaism and Islam worship the SAME God and there is NO second opinion about it. Very influential Jewish scholars/religious leaders/Rabbis have encouraged Jews to worship in Muslim mosque if there is no synagogue around,as Muslim mosque is THE BEST place for worship in the absence of synagogue. On the other hand, Jews can not pray or worship in Church as Christians worship human (according to some influential Jewish Rabbi etc)
Again this is a poor argument. They only say that because it is what th ancient jews did under muslim control. I know too many jews and they all consider Islam paganism. You are forgeTting that the ‘very influential’ jews are just giving their OPINION, not anything doctrinal or factual. I dare you to go to a synagogue in Israel and and try tell the jews there that Allah is YHWH, and see what will happen to you lol it won’t be pretty lol
3- Arab Christians themselve call God as “Allah” and Arabic bible uses word “Allah” in place of God.Yemeni Jews also call God as “Allah” …
This is one the worst yet and I don’t know why muslims still try to use it lol

The word ‘allah’ in Christianity and Judaism is treated no more than a generic noun. However in Islam ‘allah’ is a proper noun (a name). Hence although they (arab Jews and Christians) say ‘allah’ they know it is not the NAME of God because in the Judeo-christian faith God is not God’s name. YHWH is God’s name.

Your argument is pointless because if we were to use your logic then you would imply that when Hebrew speaking Jews and christians say Elohim, they think it is the name of God but they themselves even teach that YWHW is God’s name

My friend… the name of God in the Judeo-christian faith is NOT debatable because it is DOGMA.
👍

This is easy to explain : The Hebrew word used in this verse is ‘shabbat’ which simply means he ceased doing what he was doing hence her is the NIV translation (one of the best if not the best)

“It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested (shabbat)” (Exo 31:17)

The bible even teaches God does not get tired so your argument falls flat on its face

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, He will NOT grow tired or weary…” (Isaiah 40:28)
OK …I know different versions of bible come up every day and Christians “re-translates” the “problems” they have 😃 Well it doesn’t matter…I was just giving one point about “WHY” Muslims believe Qur’an to be “protector” or “standard” for the previous scriptures. Anyways…leave it…

Well I know you can do this all day long because you haven’t mature up enough. All your these rather childish verse to verse comparison came from…mmm…Sam Shamoun probably? Or someone of that caliber …😉 Your third point is very childish though…Just to let you know…I can do this all day every day with Qur’an and Bible and can make Bible look like a joke infront of Qur’an …But all these little things are of no worth in a serious objective discussion…Theology is not some verse to verse comparison…Most of the Jews consider Islamic monotheism and Judaic monotheism as exactly same while Christian worship of human is a paganism…There is no trinity in the OT …And before you post some verse to somehow “prove” that there exists any trinity…please don’t. I’d be a waste of time. Any well-educated theologian will agree about the absence of trinity in the OT…Even Christian champions like Dr William Lane Craig would agree with me,I’m sure.

Ok …I was waiting for your verdict on my “argument” …Sad that you disapproved it . . .

I was trying to make a point in my whole post…What you have done is that you dissected that post and replied to me without understanding that my whole post was my response…Dissecting was not needed but probably you’re a teenager full of zeal …lol…don’t worry…you’ll improve.

Your fallacy of appeal to personal authority won’t work here. Do you know many Jews? Who consider Islam as paganism? Well cool…who cares about them? Historians? Academics? Anyone? lol… My point were drawn from influential jewish text…Historians, academics and hundreds of thousands of people study them…So your friends’ (if they exist) opinions are what you are giving me in response of my mentioning of Jewish classical influential texts? mmmm Guys at debate.org should’ve deducted few points from you on this 😉

Regarding Israel, I’ve never been to Israel…have you? OR you are just telling your self-made assumptions? Israelis probably would ‘dislike’ if I use Allah in synagogue but if I say “Jesus is your God,Israelis” …I bet they would read verses from their talmuds to show me how my god Jesus is considered as a . . . . . . . So again, point stands : Judaism is way,way closer to Islam than Christianity… UNTIL your jewish friends think otherwise …😉
Your argument is pointless because if we were to use your logic then you would imply that when Hebrew speaking Jews and christians say Elohim, they think it is the name of God but they themselves even teach that YWHW is God’s name
Logic? lols … I find it cute coming from you …

I referred to influential Jewish texts…classical Jewish commentaries on how Jews and Muslims worship the SAME God…This is “logic” …You in your Christian bias are hell bent to prove that Jews don’t worship the same God whereas Jewish SCHOLARS themselves have said that they do ! They even tell jews to worship in a mosque but not enter a church…but yeah obviously you know more about Judaism than Jewish scholars or Maimonides do? Do you know about Epistle to Yemen? (It wasn’t written under the threat of Muslim persecution lol)…

Use Google for further help.

OK …I know different versions of bible come up every day and Christians “re-translates” the “problems” they have 😃 Well it doesn’t matter…I was just giving one point about “WHY” Muslims believe Qur’an to be “protector” or “standard” for the previous scriptures. Anyways…leave it…
Lol because the bible has many translations and versions? I don’t see the problem here… The reason bibles get re-translated is because languages are not static, they change over time and words change meanings hence we need to re-translate bible (publish new versions) to capture the correct translation of english spoken at the present time.

e.g. The 1611 King James bible had to be re-published and translated again because Elizabethan english is no more spoken as words and phrases have changed meaning. So today we have the NKJV (New King James Version) that captures our modern english.
😛

Anyway the Qur’an itself has many arabic and english versions so you’re not one to talk. You have good and bad translation of the Qur’an.

Besides you have not attempted in anyway to refute my argument. Well I guess its because facts are irrefutable 😃

Cool story bro 👍

The types of monotheism can be the same but it does not mean the monotheism is directed to the same deity.

No trinity in the Old Testament? Let us see :

God is one in the OT (Deuteronomy 6:4)
In hebrew it reads :

“Shema Yisrael, Adonai elohinu, Adonai echad”

In english :

“Hear O’ Israel, the Lord your God, the Lord is one”

The hebrew word ‘echad’ means ‘unity’ not singularity like Islamic monotheism.‘Echad’ demonstrates a compound unity of oneness. Hence God in the OT defines himself as a monotheistic unity of personalities. This is the reason why the Hebrews always called God ‘elohim’ which actually mean ‘gods’ not ‘god’ . Elohim is the plural for the word ‘el’ which means God. Yet the jews are monotheist so why do they call the one God ‘elohim’ if ‘elohim’ means ‘gods’? It is because God is a compound unity of personalities.

This is the very reason why God spoke in plurality when he was creating man :

“Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness…” (Genesis 1:26)

If God was not a unity of personalities, then who was God the Father talking to?

What is next is to determine who constitutes this ‘echad’ of personalities that makes up the one God
:

The Father (Psalm 89:26, Deut 32:6)

The Angel of the LORD / The Son of God [Pre-incarnate Jesus] (Proverbs 30:4,
Psalm 2:7, 2:12 , Genesis 48:15-16)

The HolySpirit (Exodus 31:3,35:31 , Numbers 11:25 , Isaiah32 :15)

There are also numbers of verses in the OT that address all the persons of the Tri-unity (Trinity). Like : isaiah 11:1-2,42:1 , Proverbs 30:4 etc

For more info her is an article covering this issue :

Dissecting was needed as you raised a lot of unrelated points. If you were a natural debater you would know this. Anyway this is irrelevant.
Your fallacy of appeal to personal authority won’t work here. Do you know many Jews? Who consider Islam as paganism? Well cool…who cares about them? Historians? Academics? Lol you are guilty of the same fallacy. You fail to realize that a historian, scholar or academic can say whatever they want concerning an issue. The only time what they say concerning this issue is relevant is if it is DOCGMA. Hence quoting the opinions of such people on their stance of Allah and YHWH is Futile to prove the jewish view. What we need to quote is the dogmas or doctrines to see the view of Allah in Judaism. Sadly for you there I’d not Judaic Dogma or Doctrine that teaches Allah is YHWH so your argument is falsified at this one flaw.
Regarding Israel, I’ve never been to Israel…have you? OR you are just telling your self-made assumptions? Israelis probably would ‘dislike’ if I use Allah in synagogue but if I say “Jesus is your God,Israelis” …I bet they would read verses from their talmuds to show me how my god Jesus is considered as a . . . . . . . Nope but I know Israelite Jews now living in my country who told me what I told you. Secondly Jewish/Muslim tensions are at an all time high I’m Israel today. Just google this issue

You can reference the opinions of ‘top’ jewish personalities all you want. Until you bring one dogmatic reference or doctrinal reference that supports these individual’s opinions, your references remain irrelevant. You cannot use opinions (commentaries) as facts lol
😉

LOL! C’mon …I thought you’re a better one…Stop copy-pasting from these gullible sites. Can YOU read Hebrew? We discussed this issue in long detail and even my professors agree that there is no trinity when one look at OT …Heck ! so ALL Jews (Hebrew speaking) couldn’t see what is in the in OT but YOU are able to identify it? Even Dr Willian Lane Craig agreed that when one look at OT , he won’t find any trinity there…but yeah…you know more than Hebrew speaking Jews , you know more than my theology professors and you know more than scholarly theologians like Dr William Lane Craig …Thank God I didn’t “debate” you …otherwise it would’ve been a such a waste of time…Kids and copy-pasting these days …:nope:

Dissecting was needed as you raised a lot of unrelated points.** If you were a natural debater** you would know this. Anyway this is irrelevant.
LOL! No the problem is that if you were mature enough…you would understand that I wasn’t/am not “debating” anything…Its a “discussion” where you don’t need to dissect every point of the person but rather reply to the main point of one’s post…Anyways…Can I ask your age? (Sorry If I’m being too personal) …
Not really. I’m in no way guilty of Fallacy of ‘personal’ authority…I NEVER gave any personal opinions like “My Jewish friends say …blah blah blah…” …I quoted Jewish scholars , Rabbis, Torah Scholars etc etc …What I find funny is that you say that we need to quote Dogma (whatever this sentence means) but on the other hand, you believe God of OT and NT as “same” whereas, when you read both books…It is clear as crystal that God of OT and NT are not same entities. One is loving caring but the other one is barbaric ordering murders of children and rapes of women. Also bible say that God’s nature never changes…So was Jesus a barbaric lunatic that ordered killing of children and infants? Rapes of women? Smashing of Children to the walls? OR jesus was a nice guy who taught love? OR “both” of these entities are same and yet God doesn’t change its nature? mmmm so much confusion and so much inconsistency in your stance.

Secondly, I’m NOT quoting “historians” …I’m quoting the DOCTRINAL literature of Judaism…I’m quoting Epistle to Yemen…I’m quoting one of the greatest Torah Scholar ,Maimonides. Do you know why people are called “scholars”? Because they are an AUTHORITY of their field. Mainonides is history’s (one of the) greatest TORAH scholar…Torah was his field…he studied and studied torah and Jewish literature… He was an “expert” in these issues…His Epistle to Yemen effectively “ended” a heretical movement in Judaism…thats how expert he was…but yeah its uses to discuss all these things with you . . . . . .
Nope but I know Israelite Jews now living in my country who told me what I told you. Secondly Jewish/Muslim tensions are at an all time high I’m Israel today. Just google this issue
Again appeal to personal authority? LOL! :extrahappy: That Israeli Jew (if he exist) holds an opinion that is virtually non-existent in the field of Judaism or academics…Secondly, I don’t need google (like you) to know about Israeli/Palestinian issue…But this has nothing to do here…Its not “jewish/Muslim” issue…Its a political issue given religious touch…very typical…
You can reference the opinions of ‘top’ jewish personalities all you want. Until you bring one dogmatic reference or doctrinal reference that supports these individual’s opinions, your references remain irrelevant. You cannot use opinions (commentaries) as facts lol
😉
Denial and more denial without any logical reasoning to follow…that is the story of most Christians I talked to debated with…I am not giving you just any ‘opinion’ of top Jewish ‘personalities’ …I am giving you “doctrinal works” of greatest “torah SCHOLARS” …If Angelina Jolie says something on history …Its one of the top 'personality" giving his views on history…but if Bernard Lewis write a whole book on some issue regarding history…it DOES matter ALOT ! (Just an analogy in hope that you’d be enlightened)…

Secondly you said "You cannot use opinions (commentaries) as facts lol "

HAHAHAHA …there are no “facts” in theology facepalm … Gullible crowd like you would say " It is a fact that Judaism’s God and Allah are not same and it is a fact that God of OT and NT are same" and people like me would laugh my butt of…Have you taken any formal classes in biblical theology? or theology as a general? What do you do? I mean you’re a student but what you study? Engineering, medical etc? (Again I apologize If I’m being too personal but I don’t think that I’ve asked something that would make you feel uneasy to answer) …👍

I was about to reply to your posts but I realized something. I’m never gonna get through to you. You are too stubborn. I present evidence for my case…you don’t attempt to refute the evidence at all, rather you attack my intelligence based on my youth. You have not refuted ONE point of the doctrinal claims I have presented. You do what many muslims do. You beat around the bush when the going gets tough. I really haven’t got time for such ignorance and immaturity. Either address my arguments (forget about my age and all other irrelevant things) or have a fun time talking to yourself.

Oh and I am flattered by your accusations of me ‘copy pasting’ because in truth, I presented these arguments from my own knowledge through countless research, so thanks for the compliment.

👍

Only God can help you learn the truth that I have presented. I’ll pray for you and thank you for your time.

“Do not speak to a fool, for he will scorn the wisdom of your words”
(Proverbs 23:9)

I should’ve just listened to Solomon’s words above 😦

Anyway If you still want to speak to me then you know where you can contact me.

Oh! FYI a debate is a type of discussion 😉

God bless and happy holidays!🙂

LOL …Good …

Why would I “refute” your rather immature claims? I just wanted to ask you …What I have guessed about you is

1- You are young…
2- Haven’t taken any formal class in theology
3- Read Answering-Islam and believes that its a good site (Lmbo on this one)
4-Use very weak arguments just for the sake of arguments…
5- Very inconsistent (well, we all have our own biases) …

Anyways…bye. I’d not be responding to you on this now 👍

By the way, you are Catholic yourself and Catholic Church accepts that Muslims and Christians worship the same God (though Muslims are not aware of true and full nature of God (referring to trinity) …Ever read Catechism of Catholic church? How you would explain that? mmm Probably all the hyper scholars at Catholic Church and high priests didn’t know Hebrew or the bible and hence made the mistake…They should’ve asked you or your jewish friends 😉

Thank you

And yeah I have read the CCC and if you read it carefully you’ll realize it is not really saying we worship the same God. Its just like Jehovah’s witnesses and their Arian God just like Muslims and Allah. In reality it these two gods do not exist but we are only linked to JW and Muslims through thr confession of monotheism. It was very cleverly written in diplomatic language so as to keep the ecumenical diplomatic purpose. In fact here is a Catholic apologist on the issue if you want an explanation :

socrates58.blogspot.com/2007/11/does-catholic-church-equate-allah-and.html

Oh and your conclusions about me bear false witness but its ok. Believe whatever you want.

Thanks again 👍

Mohammed converted to hanifi movement , which is a new movement started by a person called zaid bin amro bin nufail , the movement said that Abraham built the Kabba in Mecca with his son ishmael , and that Abraham believed in one God , so they follow the religion of Abraham . Than mohammed according to islamic tradition , met a priest who was called warqa bin nufil , after claiming that a spirit squeeze him in a cave , and he was threaten from what happen to him . the Priest gave him an impression that he is a prophet from God , for the next 10 years , mohammed wanted to convert his pagan family and tribe in Mecca ,he mocked their Gods and use a poem to battle with them (the Quran ) to say that those verse are from God , but he failed to convert them , he only had a few converts, and his tribe mocked him , and made fun of him , so he left to the city of madina , and he made an Alliance with two tribes there who accept him as their prophet and leader , there were 3 jewish tribes there too , later on , he will kicked them all 3 from Madina , and kill many of them , for different reasons , and he started to involve with war against his tribe and later he took over mecca , and that made all arabia enter an allince with him . after his death most of Arabia left islam , and they were forced to enter it again by the sword , and the Islamic army spread Islam by force everywhere , because mohammed said :-

“I have been ordered to kill the people until they testify that there is no god except Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer and pay the zakah. If they do that, their blood and wealth are protected from me save by the rights of Islam. Their reckoning will be with Allah.”

so this is the way muslims debate theology in the 7th century 😃

and muslims follow mohamed teachings for centuries trying to spread islam by sword .

when a christians came to mohammed to correct him on his false teachings look what mohammed said:-

Let us pray and so lay the curse of Allah upon the ones who lie

and when Christians caught the error that mohammed made , when he called Mary the sister of Aaron(he even called her the daughter of Amram (imran) who is the father of Aron , Moses , and another Mary!!!) , when there was 100s of years between the two , mohammed correct himself by saying:-

"The (people of the old age) used to give names (to their persons) after the names of Apostle and pious persons who had gone before them.

and Moses father is imran according to Mohammed

“If Musa ibn `Imran were resurrected among you now, he would just follow me.”

so it does not take any time to see that mohammed fall in a huge mistake by being confused between the Virgin Mary and Mary the sister of Aaron and moses the daughter of Amram .

so what do we conclude ? Islam was a movement in Arabia based on pagan , christian , jewish , and hertic christians religions which evolved by time from preaching to sword . Islam goes against History , against Christ , by attacking his divinity and denying the crucifixion of Jesus . all the classical islamic commentary agree that another person was killed on the cross , and christians worship the other person , so Allah made christians to believe a lie by making other person look like Jesus ! , However modern muslims try to make new interpretations , because they saw how illogical is that original interpretation . The Quran is easy to see it’s roots and The God of Islam mentioned stories from fabrication books , such as the story of Jesus Creating a Bird from Clay ,which comes from the infancy gospel of thomas which dates to the 3rd century . so how can God makes such mistakes ?

so yeah there is no need for islam , it’s Fake
