I have know idea who Muhummad is except that he thought he was chosen.

Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead, healed the sick, and fulfilled the prophecies. So what did the prophet Muhummad do to have so many religious followers?

If Jesus wasn’t the Son of God, then why would God (who is all-good) allow and give him power to do such holy miracles

Some answers. He was around when there was a great deal of harmful debate in the Christian Church
He gave the people writings in their own language as opposed to them having to learn Latin. This was one of the reasons why Islam took over so much of North Africa

Mostly, people follow the religion of their families and their communities.

Catholicism seems to have the most evidence from all the religions with our relics and uncorrupted bodies of saints.

People who aren’t Christian generally believe that Jesus didn’t actually perform miracles, and that they were made up later.

Nowdays or back in that days??
Back, because of fear, the conquer of most of Europe.
Nowdays because of birth rate and still because of fear.
In my country Indonesia, they are, right now trying to silence non muslim, but in international they said they promote tolerance, what a joke.
So pray for the conversion of muslim.
Mother Mary pray for us.
Christ have mercy on us.

Or that Jesus was more a philosopher who was more into zen-like riddles, and the miracles gradually became part of the story later.

In any case, it shouldn’t be surprising that non-Christians aren’t persuaded by Christian sources.

When my children were young we took a trip and whilst travelling on a dual carriageway (highway) we saw a mother duck with about ten or more little chicks following her along the side on the grass, then the mother took a sharp right and began crossing the road with her little chicks following in a line. It was a busy road. I speeded up and swerved to get round them but there were other cars behind.

I have no idea what happened to them but it didn’t look hopeful.

Islam became the most successful of heresies because of a combination of simplicity of dogma, conquest of peoples and good organization. But God did not leave the West without help. They took Spain and southern Italy for a while and the Balkans but were eventually defeated. At the gates of Vienna they were driven back. Our civilization will not be taken over by them.

I feel Muhammed and King David had a lot in common. Both were fierce warriors, both commanded armies, had many concubines and wives, etc.

The reason for Muhammed’s rise and conquests was because the believers around the time grew weak in self-indulgence and falsehood. The devil can never stand against the Holy Spirit in warfare. Thankfully they were repelled, it’s unfortunate they weren’t crushed completely.

There is one God, one Jesus, one Spirit and mankind has split this oneness into thousands of denominations.

The Jews are God’s chosen people, Christians are chosen by Christ and in Islam, Allah chooses whom he wills. Did God make a mistake when he chose Jews and Christians? Did he make a mistake when he chose Muslims?

We are stuck with ‘One God’ the creator of all that is seen and unseen.

Many false prophets have risen and will continue to rise until Jesus second coming when HE will put a final stop to all this. Many follow them to their perdition. Many are deceived. Some are saved even after having been deceived thanks be to GOD. We pray that many more are saved (converted).

He didn’t do anything. He got a bunch of followers and invaded the entire silk road and after his death the caliphate spread it even further by the sword. Only two countries in the world I believe Indonesia and Bangladeshi converted willfully.
He was a false prophet. And the most consequential. Many have come since after Christ look at all of the leaders of the heresies. I’d say Mani was the greatest threat in the 4th-7th centuries but luckily was stomped out.

He gained a quick base of followers because he was charismatic, zealous, and a good military leader. After his revelations with the archangel Gabriel he did a lot of writing and connecting with people rapidly and effectively (Catholics of course wouldn’t believe it was really St Gabriel, but that’s the Islamic take).

Beyond the 1st or 2nd generation of a movement, people tend to fall into the pattern of their families and communities. Strong external influences can change this but they need to be strong, for example: the ubiquitous combination of media/entertainment/secular academia in the USA to condition religious people away from their faith, or the reverse scenario: vibrant religious communities to pull Chinese away from the atheist/secular norm. People born in a strong Muslim family are most likely to be Muslims as adults. Families with so-so or nominal religious convictions are much more likely to abandon the faith, but that’s still only if there is external influence to cause that. There were plenty of people in 14th century Europe with so-so or nominal religious convictions, but societies at that time were highly homogeneous and there was seldom any option other than being Christian.
