Why do some Non-Catholic Churches say that you are never to be spiritual?

One day while driving I tuned into some religious Non-Catholic station. The preacher on the radio said, “real Christians are not to be spiritual. Spirituality is the form of Satan. The holy spirit left earth with the Apostles. There are no good spirits in the world today, only demons. People who think the Holy Spirit is in them or guides them will be deceived, since it went to heaven.”

What Christian religion believes this?
 
I know some Protestant denominations believe this, but I can’t name them. My family is Pentecostal, and I know most Baptists are against Pentecostal theology regarding the Holy Spirit, especially speaking in tongues, because they believe it to be of the Devil. I don’t know if they believe exactly what you described, but maybe they do. I’m not familiar enough with Baptist theology to say with certainty.
 
I don’t know how this can be proposed since there are so many places in the NT where it is said that the human soul and the human body is the temple of the Holy Spirit by virtue of Baptism.

Not sure what he means by “be spiritual.”
