Aerled Minor thank you for mentioning it. I appreciate many of the explanations of why we excrete but what I was actually looking for was trying to understand why God gives us this bodily function. I am well aware we need to excrete otherwise our body would be storing up all of this unnecessary intake but why is the function even there? Why were we not designed so we do not have to do this? I suppose it could be to do with the fall. Like giving birth hurts. Excreting is unpleasant. On a side not someone mentioned that excretion smells so we do not go near it or try to eat it as that would be bad for us. This Crosses over slightly with the topic on animal behaviours, dogs sometimes eat their own excrement. What does that say? Perhaps it is not as bad for them do it does not matter if they do. Is that the answer of the question. Some bodily functions seem to unnecessary.
