Why do we separate the parts of the Our Father, by not saying “for Thine is the kingdom” right after “but deliver us from evil”? Also, the text of the Our Father is in scripture; who added the “for thine is the kingdom” part and why did this second part of that prayer become part of Catholic liturgy? Were they originally joined in liturgy and then separated and recently re-joined (for Catholics)? Thank you.
