I used to really enjoy CAF when they had the “Ask An Apologist” category; now it just seems…boring,

I have met some very nice people here and it has been nice to share with them frustrations about politics or news events.
I like being able to pray for people on prayer intentions and I have asked people to pray for me a few times and I feel my prayers were answered.
I have been here almost 10 years now.
I joined shortly after being received into the Catholic Church.
Participating in many threads, I am still learning about the Catholic faith.
There are many benefits to being a member on CAF - friendship, education, faith building, prayer, discussion on Catholic News and World News.

One thing I enjoy about it is that it gives me the opportunity to share what knowledge I do have about the Catholic Faith. It’s always nice to have something of some value and be able to help others with it, no matter how small that might be.

People have been welcoming for a struggling mind. People have been nothing but forgiving of my failures and shortcomings. Lastly it gives me hope one day I can believe.

That’s awesome. It gives hope to some of us who may emphasize the glass being half empty at times. 🙂

Thanks for sharing.

I can meet people like you who make me feel like a Saint by comparison.
Do I get a flag for that?

I’ll try to answer that question again. This question makes the assumption that we all love CAF. So if we don’t reply, we don’t love CAF?
There is a danger in loving any Internet Forum. They can become a false god. Our main focus should always be JC. I have been known to get addicted. Like spending 4 or 5 hours a day on forums. That’s too much IMO. Maybe I am almost doing that now.
So the question we need to ask is, can I really justify my time on here? The answer is…no not 4 hours a day anyway. I aim to get it back to 2 hours at least.

You think too much. 🙂 Yes, 2 hours is better, you’re right.

I like CAF because sometimes, I get really good responses to my questions which help me intellectually and spiritually.
I agree with 7_Sorrows and Brittany. Another nice thing is that so far I have not been banned.

Also, I enjoy hearing the wise responses that make me think in ways I would not normally, giving me a new perspective. So many insightful, caring, and smart people here.

It’s a place where people ask questions which almost certainly will cause argument and then people get offended and flag you and you get suspended for speaking what you believe in answering the question. I wonder if I’ll get flagged for this. The irony.
