I do not receive the Precious Blood. Partly because 2000 years of tradition say that it is unecessary, but also because it is only distributed by lay ministers, which, when it is not extraordinary circumstances, I disagree with.
I would love to have the opportunity to receive Christ’s blood at Holy Communion. Both parishes that I attend in New York state do not offer it. When we lived in Massachusetts, it was always offered.
