Why Do You People Ask Stupid Poll Questions???

I mean no offense, but some of these poll question are dumb—Obviously the Blessed Mother could have been sinless–

Since you’ve chosen to use one of my polls as an example I thought I’d respond in spite of the fact that I generally don’t respond to your posts. (The sinless Blessed Virgin thread, which is ANYTHING but a dumb poll and I really don’t appreciate your implication that it is.)

The poll (and you’ll notice that it’s a public poll, so everyone can see who took what position) is in order to get people involved in the discussion, which I feel is far and a way better than a massively hostile and disjointedly typed tirade against non-Catholics for one thing or another. It gets a rational and charitable discussion going that allows Catholics to share their faith with those who perhaps have been misled by their anti-Catholic sources or offended by some other poster. It works because there are real discussions going on my thread and on many of the others…

As for the other polls, if I’m not interested…I don’t stop there. I just ignore the stuff that doesn’t speak to me. Take a hint…
