According to the Matthew, Mark and Luke, the last supper was celebrated on the Passover. But, it was celebrated before the Passover in the John.

So how did Catholics know that the writings of John about the last suppers’ date is in error, but other three gospels are correct on it?

Since when do we say that John’s date is wrong or that it conflicts with the other three Gospels? Passover began at sundown the day before, so both statements are correct.

Wait, why is this calendar including the day of preparation into a feast of Passover?

Why don’t you spend the leavened breads on the day of preparation, to prepare the Passover?

42 It was Preparation Day (that is, the day before the Sabbath). So as evening approached, 43 Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Council, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body.
The Preparation Day was referring to the Day Before the Sabbath. Because you don’t do any work on the Sabbath— so you gotta make sure everything’s in order the day before, right?

You’re assuming that the preparation day is for the sabbath. But I think it is for the Passover.

This looks like a helpful chart, but it is cut off. Could you attribute its author?

Going back a few years, here’s a thread I started on this same question. I still find the author’s argument convincing.

Last Supper a Passover meal? John vs. Synoptics Sacred Scripture
What follows is a very brief outline of a chapter in a book by Joachim Jeremias. I find his argument very convincing and I can no longer see any reason for casting doubt on the Synoptics’ timing. Jeremias shows that John, too, was describing a Passover *seder, *despite what he says about the priests’ reasons for not entering the palace (Jn 18:28). In at least five other places John describes what can only be a Passover meal: **1. An evening meal beginning after dark.―**This was something that h…
