Why does the OT book order differ between the NAB and RSV translations?

I noticed that my RSV and NAB have a different order of the Old Testament books.
Does anyone know why?
Does it matter?

The order of books is not part of the deposit of faith, so as such, it’s a purely editorial decision. The RSV orders its Old Testament approximating that of the Vulgate, ending in 2 Maccabees. The NAB, from the looks of it, tried to group the books into their literary genres/categories: Pentateuch, History, Wisdom, and Prophetic, ending with Malachi.

Even an “ecumenical” edition with the Deuterocanonicals sandwiched between the Protocanonicals and the New Testament would be just fine.

That’s really all there is to it.
