Why doesn't God allow those in the Afterlife to communicate with us mortals?

I often think that I would love to communicate with a dearly beloved friend or relative who has passed on. Would love to know how they’re doing, what the Afterlife is like, etc and etc.

Why doesn’t God allow the dearly departed to communicate as humans do, with us?

These medium shows on tv and psychics are all the rage now. I DO NOT believe in the authenticity of such things. So upfront I want to say I have not and never will consult a medium to attempt to talk to my Father, Uncles and others who have passed.

thanks for reply.

God expressely forbids us from attempting to communicate with them, if it is within His plan sometimes He allows for messages to be received from people on this side.

Partly I believe He discourages the natural curiosity of us trying to find out how it is over there because we probably could not even understand it.
Let’s make a poor analogy, let’s say we send a high school freshman student to visit the CERN particle accelerator and the people there bombard him with all the complex mathematics, physics and electronics necessary to make the system work.
What chance does he have to even grasp what he sees. Now imagine just how much more we cannot grasp what is the existance in the presence of GOD.

I also have dearly ones that have gone before me and I pray for them every day hoping they made it and I confess that some times I wish I could receive a message from them so that I can stop worrying, but alas it is not my will 😉
You do well to stay away from mediums and charlatans, that IS a mortal sin, why would you want to do that?
Stay safe and may God grant you peace.
