Hi,
God is real because He not only exists, existence is His very essence. Unlike created beings like us, who’s existence is dependent on another (God), God is uncreated and depends on no one for His existence.
In asking why He doesn’t exist, I suspect that you mean to ask why we can’t see Him. But simply because we can’t see Him does not mean that He isn’t there. We can’t see the air we breathe either, but who know it’s there because we can feel its’ effects: We are able to breathe, we feel it against our cheeks and we see it blowing flags around. So with God; we know Him by the fact that we exist and are alive. We see His finger prints in all that He has created. But most of all, we see Him in the ability He has given human beings to sacrifice unselfishly for each other.
