Why doesn't the church give more recognition to Medjugorje?

Why doesn’t the Catholic church give more recognition, and more acknowledgement to the apparitions at Medjugorje? From what is published, the sightings of the Blessed Mother are still happening, and messages from her still being given to some of the people.
