Why doesn't the Holy See help people with scrupulousity

So what if listening to the priest from confession feels like Garabandal, which means that I can’t actually believe if it’s true or not. What if I read a theology book from a Traditional Catholic Source like Sensus Fidelium or traditionalcatholic.co gives me doubts? I don’t think that advice from priests and books help me because I would never know if it’s true or not. I would never know if the authors are in hell or not. And not every priest is a Theologian.

Our best advice is for you to seek out a good priest on the local level who knows you or can get to know you because he’ll be treating you in the most fruitful counseling environment: a three-dimensional one. I don’t think there’s any reason to speculate on whether the author is “in hell or not”. That’s not something we need to be thinking about. People, including priests, can be in theological error and not realize the seriousness of their errors.

If you get hold of a book or website that seems bogus, go to a faithful, orthodox Catholic priest — preferably in person — and show it to them. In all likelihood they will tell you to avoid it. Do what they tell you to do. Anyone struggling with scrupulosity needs not to be reading books about what is troubling them, they need to seek counsel from a trusted priest.

The same reason people in society do that with every large organization. They don’t want to take responsibility for dealing with their own problem and want Big Brother to just step in and say “Fixed that for ya.”
 
Scrupulosity is a tough condition. I have it myself, though not nearly as badly as in the past. Most priests are not going to answer the typical scrupulous questions on an online forum, as doing so is not only pointless, but also dangerous. There are however many resources available, meant to be used in conjunction with the advice of a knowledgeable priest. Reading it was actually the beginning of recovery for me, as it addresses the issues that never seem to get answered elsewhere.
 
Im surprised at some of the uncharitable attitudes here. Scrupulously literally requires a competent spiritual director. The Church, literally, needs to be involved. And lots of great priests are. Comforting those suffering is a act of charity and scrupulosity is almost 24 hour suffering. One cannot just get over it on their own.

I would be lost if a great priest did not help me with my scrupulosity.

St Alphonsus Liguori wrote about scrupulosity and his advice is sound and is what helped me. Basically, find a spiritual director and obey them. That is the best advice a doctor of The Church has to offer and it was effective for me. If a scrupulous person cant do this, then they are practically lost. I know I would have been
