I am a devout Catholic and I love all the Catholic prayers (The Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, etc…) But I also love the Bible. It seems to me as if all Protestants talk about is the Bible. They are constantly telling each other to read the bible. They place a lot of importance in the bible. Why don’t Catholics do that? Catholics read the Bible, but not nearly as often as Protestants (In general, this may not apply to all Catholics) and they place a lot more importance in other things. As I said earlier, I love The Rosary, The Divine Mercy Chaplet & Praying to Saints. Why don’t Catholics put as much emphasis on reading the bible as they do with those? I love the Bible and I think it has a lot of wisdom for everyone (not just Catholics & Protestants) Obviously, the bible should not be taken literally and we can’t just interpret it any way we want. Any thoughts on this? Thank You!!!
