Why don't people kneel during the rosary anymore?

I have noticed lately while attending rosaries, especially at a vigil for a funeral, that most people do not kneel. In the past I have heard the deacon or priest advise those who cannot because of age or health reasons that they can remain seated, but that was a long time ago. Why did we move away from kneeling at rosaries?

I don’t know. I do know however that kneeling during a public recitation of the rosary is not required. Those who wish to do so, however, are free to do so.
