Why do you think God created the sun to be the center of the solar system?

It’s a result of the physics He set up the universe to run on. (Gravity being greater around the most massive object, causing things around it to be attracted to it, etc.) The mystery behind your question is, why does our universe run on these physics instead of some other kind?

It may be that the physics He set up are the only ones that allow for human life. Or maybe He is like a good clockmaker: a good clockmaker chooses parts that are simplest, most versatile, and most mechanically sensible. Maybe God chose to make physics work the way they do because of considerations like that. Or maybe they are an extension of the divine logic, and any other physics is impossible.

Possibly to remind mankind that our own SOUL-er system should centered around the “SON”. 😉

Since many things in our universe are symbolic, it seems that placing the natural light source we know at the center could be a sign of God’s presence in our center.

But, through most of human history, all we knew was that the sun rose, crossed the sky and set, bringing nighttime. This could be symbolism of grace vs. sin, life vs death.
