Why has the Church adapted to so many cultures?

Hello, I am new here. A question I have been itching to ask is how do you respond to an attacker of the church who says that they can’t take the church seriously because they adapted to the morals and culture of people over the years to get converts. Here is the Internet quote I got it from in particular:

“But beyond that, we’ve seen the Church adapts it’s ideas, morals, symbols, story, and beliefs so much over the last 2000 years that I just can’t take them seriously at all. Especially considering how many of their own holidays, symbols, and stories were adapted with the primary goal of bringing in other cultures to their religion.”

Hi,

The object is not in bringing other cultures to our religion, but in bringing our religion to other cultures—big difference! The one thing that the Catholic Church has NOT done is water down its’ message—as over two thousand years of martyrs attest. The Church uses what is familiar to the people of each culture to share the Good News of Christ in a way that they can understand.

The exchange of cultural traditions is a good thing. Think of how richer we are for the benefits we have received from so many cultures. Who wants to live in a vacuum!
