Why "Hell"? And What is hell, according to the Catechism and Bible

Some people wonder, what is hell, and even "Why did god create hell?"or “Did God create hell?” Answer seems to be, people do that for themselves, in refusal to live in kindness and love.

A) The answer from Jesus: Bible: Matthew 25 verses 31-46 chapter

B) The answer from the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

IV. HELL

1033 We cannot be united with God unless we freely choose to love him.
But we cannot love God if we sin gravely against him, against our neighbor or against ourselves:
"He who does not love remains in death.
Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him."612
Our Lord warns us that we shall be separated from him if we fail to meet the serious needs of the poor and the little ones who are his brethren.613
To die in mortal sin without repenting and accepting God’s merciful love means remaining separated from him for ever by our own free choice.
This state of definitive self-exclusion from communion with God and the blessed is called “hell.”

People have their theories but the bible reveals that Hell was created for Satan and his angels. The reason lost people go there is because they are already the property of the Kingdom of Darkness. Satan has the right to claim his property except for those redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Simple, no mystery.

Actually, you can, it may not be the only way, but it can be quite an effective tool of both Catechesis and Evangelism.

Often, given a reference, with out a laborious discussing, will be enough to lead the target audience to search for and find the truth themselves.

Giving citations, followed with a passionate explanation why we believe it is true is what some have come to describe, “Hitting them over the head with the Catechism (or Bible)”.

Sometimes a whisper is more effective than a shout.

Really? I wonder why some would call it that? We are called to proclaim the Truth of Jesus Christ and His Church, the Catholic Church. Of, course the problem arises when we interpret for ourselves what Scripture ‘really says’.

I’m not sure why, you should take it up with them…it seems to be a new buzz word on Catholic radio, especially Catholic Answers Live.

Again, in your haste to take issue with anything I say, you can’t even see we are on the same page…my point was that you don’t have to start with forcing feeding people, but let them stimulate their own hunger first. The Holy Spirit, in due time, will allow them to open their hearts, and they will seek the truth, which will lead them to Church teaching.
 
Hell is a fire. you dont see anything there, you dont have a ody your simply engulfed in a never ending unextinguishble flames , its unbearable, jesus speaks of it numerous times throughout the bible, referring to us as either chaff or wheat, the chaff being burned, the wheat collected, i urge you all to do well please pray for us all we need to be delivered, we need the church bad, we need the sacraments,

I listen to Catholic Answers Live and they seem to encourage upholding the teachings of Jesus Christ not hindering it.

There are many protestant denominations (and supposed ‘catholics’) who claim to have the Holy Spirit and love Jesus yet they do not recognize the Church that He founded, the Catholic Church nor His teachings. There are protestant denominations (and liberal ‘catholics’) that support contraception, homosexual marriage and even abortion. So it is imperative that we continue to uphold the teachings of Jesus and His Church, the Catholic Church

I know this is unpopular and sets people on edge, but according to scripture there are only two kingdoms in the world. You cannot be neutral. To be part of God’s kingdom you must be born again. Everyone born into the world is born in sin and thus he is part of the kingdom of darkness. That is why we need to be redeemed or bought back.

Is there another part of humanity that needs no redemption of which I am not aware?:confused:
