Disobedience to Jesus teachings, where does this come from? From satan. Jesus calls him “a liar and a murderer even from the beginning.”

Concerning being happy by choosing and believing whatever makes you happy;

Jesus said; “And they were eating and drinking and laughing and dancing right up until the coming of the Ark,”
Also: “That is how it will be in the End Of Days, people will be laughing and eating and drinking and dancing right up until they are covered in a consuming fire.”

Jesus told the Apostles, looking at someone and thinking impure thoughts deliberately was a mortal sin and was breaking the commandment not to commit adultery. He told them, to hate ones brother was breaking the commandment not to kill.

The Apostles found Jesus truth and teaching a challenge, they even said to Him, “Who can be saved then?”

Jesus truth and teachings are a challenge because they challenge us to say no to the easy path that “wide Road that leads to Hell, wide and easy is it’s way, and there are many who find it.”

Whereas of Heaven Jesus says; “Narrow and DIFFICULT is the way, and there are few who find it.”

Doing and believing whatever makes you happy isn’t going to get you into Heaven.

“one cannot SERVE two masters.”

It’s about serving Jesus, who said about actions for Him that “If you loved Me you would do as I say.” keeping His commands through the New Testament and catholic church which He gave us to guide us infallibly.

Jesus even says at certain judgements of sinners, they will call Him “Lord Lord” and He will say, “You wicked and FAITH-LESS servant, I tell you solemnly, I never knew you”.

Faith less, because “If you believed Me you would believe My words” Jesus says somewhere else.

About this, Jesus was either a liar, a madman, or 100% infallible and right.

You cannot partially believe in Jesus words and believe He was partially correct and partially incorrect, that turns Jesus the Son of God into a liar.

Which is it, is He the Truth, the Son of God, the end of all Public Revelation from God totally until the End Times,

Or is He a madman?

Because the Son of God, who says “I am Truth”, never said "I am partial truth and partially wrong "

I’m sure you’re lovely!
But supporting contraception, gay marriage, and reincarnation belief, under the three conditions, according to Jesus, the New Testament, are mortal sins. I am worried for your Souls eternal salvation friend. You are mixing up religions and secular beliefs that Jesus condemned.

I said there is more to getting to Heaven than being nice was all 🙂

Thank you!

And I support those things because I understand not everyone lives by the laws that God has laid out. Some extream ones who feel backed into a corner by religion may choose to rather die then continue living. That worries me and I worry some feel bullied by it.

If.you stick your hand in a fire, it will burn, God gave you pain, to help you avoid serious injury, eg: “Ow that fire is hot, I better not put my hand in the fire.”

Same.as God’s parental warnings of what leads to Hell, is His.Fatherly way of advising us to avoid serious torment from an Eternal Fire.

Jesus said; “Hate the sin but love the sinner.”
Are you loving the sin and loving the sinner,?
Rather than hating the sin and loving the sinner, as Jesus commanded.

And what about you and your beliefs? What will you do if (dare I say when!) Christ comes and tells you that your beliefs were not the truth, and that your errors have caused you to be separated from him and everlasting happiness?

Seems to me you’re telling Catholics to beware of the truths of our faith, but you make no imposition on your own. Quite arrogant.

So we’re supposed to “believe” a little about every religious faith under the sun so that we can cover ourselves for whatever happens at the end of time? What does that say about your faith? Do you believe “a little” in Christ to cover yourself when He comes back?? Ridiculous.

Truth is truth is truth. There’s aren’t truths for some people and other truths for other people. All peoples have bits and pieces of eternal truth because all have the natural law in their hearts, put there by God because all humans are created in the image of God. But the whole truth is in Christ and in him only–the whole truth, not merely parts of the truth. To have Christ is to have the truth undiluted and sure.

Sure. But this is arrived at by believing in Christ and in the case of faithful Catholics by believing in the Catholic Church’s interpretation of what is written.

That’s not true at all. I am totally willing to give up any and all of my beliefs if the Christ himself tells me I am wrong. So are you?

While we’re on the topic of what Jesus said, Jesus said a whole lotta things. And on some things He said not a word. What did He say about sheep? That he had sheep not of this fold.

You are not supposed to believe anything you don’t want to. But you need to be willing to give up your beliefs if the Christ tells you to,

As I said before, I do believe in the Christ and am willing to give up all my beliefs on he personally says so.

I actually admire though such an ability to be able to understand that there are people who have other views and to be able to understand that not everyone walks the same path. I myself strive to walk such a walk. But I can probably learn a thing or two from you along the way. Thank you for your contributions and peace be with you on your journey.

That is not supernatural happiness, friend. And I never wrote one single word about you or your relationship with God. I had responded to another poster to which you replied to even though it had nothing to do with you at all. If you are going to read into posts what is not there you cannot have a meaningful discussion because you will be assuming things that were not written or even implied.

True happiness is living in/by the graces God gives us. For us Catholics that means availing ourselves of the sacraments, the prayer life of the Church and personal prayer, and yes, helping others. It’s all one package. It isn’t just helping others or just attending Mass or just personal prayer. How you are living out your Catholic faith is up to you. I have no interest in knowing anything about it, friend.

I believe in the Holy Catholic Faith in no small part because of the testimony of the martyrs. It is highly improbable that thousands would be willing to die for what they knew to be a lie. Indeed, not only did Christianity - in particular Catholic Christianity - not die out. It thrived.

Also, the Eucharistic miracles. While not obligatory for Catholics to believe, modern science has helped to support many of the stories.

Also, the universe has a certain order to it. If it did not, we could expect anything to go, if you will.

There are a few more things, but these are the most important ones for me.
