Why is Daniel 3:24-90 missing in some Bibles?

My wife was doing her daily bible reading and had to look up Dan3:91-92…there is no 91-92 in her bible which is the RSV edition…those two verses are Dan3:24-25…yet my bible NAB has Dan3:91-92…there are other chapters and verses that differ at times as well between our editions can you please explain…it’s a bit confusing…thank you and God Bless
 
The issue is that verses 24-90 are not found in surviving Hebrew versions of the text, it is only found in the surviving Greek versions. The Catholic Church has always considered them as inspired and part of the canon whereas Protestants have generally rejected anything not found in the common form of the Hebrew canon. That means that a Protestant Bible would skip over these verses and verse 91 in a Catholic Bible is verse 24 in a Protestant Bible.
