Why is it okay for religious and clergy

So why is it okay for Clergy and Religious to have political opinions,largely in regards to attacking Trump and Conservatives… when not even publicly asked for said opinion…and they are protected from criticism for their opinions, and as Catholics if we have a differing opinion on the Catholic Churchs’ view point on social issues such as homosexuality and contraceptives etc, we are attacked by fellow Catholics who in turn pretend that they simply want to " educate " and " Correct " said opinion. When it just comes off as being pompous and judgmental. I do not consider to be the case when someone says, I think such n such about Homosexuality, I think the Catholic Church is wrong in this regard, can someone help me understand why the C/C has this stance. When someone is asking for correction and or an opinion that is completely different from what I am talking about. Then think about this, the same clergy and religious with in the church attacking Trump, do not come out in the same force to attack Nancy Pelosi or Biden for not changing their stance on Abortion, and it goes for any democrat party leader.

Lastly would anyone like to take a shot in the dark as to why it took eons for the Roman Catholic Church to allow girls to be altar servers, and women to finally have non religious leadership roles with in the leadership positions in Rome.
 
Do not let liberal clergy get to you. It annoys many of us as well. Study your faith and know the truth. Get yourself a Catechism of Council of Trent and study it and adhere to it. It is Catholicism, regardless if a liberal priest says otherwise. This is why it is so crucial to study and know our faith. There is heresy being preached by our quite a bit of our clergy these days. We also have some really good priests these days who speak truth. But we must accept that there are more than we would to accept that are leading the sheep astray.
 
If you read Catholic social teaching attentively, you will find that socialism is incompatible with Catholicism.

Christians must be caring and charitable. But it is neither caring nor charitable to oblige a person by law to give his money to the poor, which is in a nutshell what socialism does.

Therefore only in very special circumstances should a cleric advise viting for the left; the situation in the USA is far from such circumstances, all the more so while the Democrats endorse abortion.

Here in the Philippines females are not allowed to be altar servers or EMHC’s.
Rome allows it but it is up to the Bishops Conference in each country to decide whether to permit it or not.

Several clergy have done this, including the bishop of Scranton where Biden is originally from (he lives someplace else now).

There are dozens of clergy and religious supporting Trump, especially due to his stance on pro-life. Ever watch or read about the March for Life or the annual Novena for our Nation? You’d see a ton of them. Many of them, like Fr. Pavone, are pretty high profile.

OP, from this and your other post in the “priests having authority over one’s life” thread, my impression is that you have a negative attitude towards the clergy. Please note that the forum TOS forbids inciting animosity towards the clergy.
