But, in ordinary language, an “occasion of X” is a time when X actually happens. But the “occasion of sin” described here is not actually a case of sin, so Sheen’s classification strains ordinary language.

I don’t think the Church sees an occasion of sin as the time when a sin actually happens. I think it’s rather a situation/occasion that could lead someone to sin. E.g. cohabitation.

Sheen said “an occasion of sin is any person, place or thing that tempts a person to sin”. So that holds true for this censor looking at porn. What he is doing is necessary. What he is doing is equally an occasion of sin. So I think it would fall under the necessary occasion of sin. I just made my judgement based on what I can remember from the audio.
