Why is the Apocrypha so hard to find?

Irenaeus was from Lyon, which is in modern-day France - meaning he was from the WEST not the East.
He was originally from somewhere in what is now Turkey, though he must have moved to Gaul at quite an early age.

Yes. That is where he was from originally. But generally when someone is referred to an ECF, either from the East or the West it is based not so much of their birthplace, but where they were when they made their contributions to the church or after their conversion. In Irenaeus’ case, it would have been after his conversion and his travel to Rome and then on to Lyon where he became bishop. That would make him a Western ECF.

I have heard before that the Catholic Church consideres the Apocrypha canon…but not really canon.
Where did you ‘hear’ that?

It’s not so. .

Better to retain focus upon the GOSPEL and the rest of the NT - in my opinion…

This way - one gets to Know JESUS …
