Why Jesus Is God and the Trinity Makes Sense:

It has come to my attention that many Christians are converting to Islam because they believe the monotheistic views of Islam makes more sense. However, this doesn’t plemish the many inconsistancies in Islam. For Example: Pharroh, in the Qu’ran said, “I am a Muslim!” There weren’t any Muslims until 1,400 years ago! It’d be just like someone converting to Mormonism because they like the idea of us being with God before our physical bodies. (I say this, because Mormons believe Native Americans are descendants of the ancient Israelites.)

Therefore, let no one beyond this post be ignorant as to why we say God is ONE God; but is a trinity. First, there is a difference between a trinity and a TRI-THEISTIC religion. If you believe Jesus IS the Messiah, then you believe He is God. Because the prophet Isaiah prophecied that He would be GOD. (Isaiah 9:6) Therefore, in order to BE the Messiah, Jesus MUST fulfill this prophecy, just like every other prophecy about the Messiah. (the Qu’ran has no prophecy. And unlike every other prophet, Muhammed never spoke with God directly.)

Muslims say it is a logical failure:

1+1+1=3

But God is eternal. So it is better to use the enfinite counterpart of addition, which is multiplycation:

1x1x1=1

Or division for omnipotence

1/3=1

God’s attributes are three: omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence

God expresses His divine nature in the universe. All things that are specially complete are stamped with a trinity. The universe is a trinity:

Space, Matter, Time

Matter: Solid - Liquid - Gas
Time: Past - Present - Future
Space: Length - Width - Depth

Lol. I guess that’s true in english. however, the Hebrew word for God “Elohim” wouldn’t apply.

Three distinct flavors, one ice cream box.

Three distinct persons, one God.

Chocolate (Respected by all, the Father), Vanilla (the Sacrificial Lamb the Son), Strawberry (Holy Spirit comes bearing Fruit).

I didn’t get the whole idea of “God is Love” until I heard it as an explanation of the Trinity in the Theology of the Body.

Given:
God is love.
Reality is more perfect than non reality.
Love requires a relationship.

Thus, God being love, can not exist without being in relationship (Father with the Son), and the love between which is perfect to the extent that it is it’s own reality, the Holy Spirit

In the beginning, God said “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…” (Gen1:26)

Mankind is an image of God through the love expressed between husband and wife, which, like the Trinity, is perfect even to the extent that the love is embodied in another being (the child). It is why marriage and the family are so important to the Church.

I don’t know if I explained it very clearly, but Catholic teaching started to make a whole lot more sense after I came across this concept.
