Why Muslims...why so strict??

A friend of mine of Pakistani origins was up until recently “engaged” to a girl he similarly didn’t want to be with in an arranged marriage. While I guess he is technically an apostate from Islam, that doesn’t mean that he could get out of the marriage, as that stuff is just a cultural as it is religious (after all, people of other religions also practice arranged marriage). He went to Islamic services to preserve his family’s “honor”, but apparently when it came to marrying this girl, it would have been to much for him. To get out of that, he basically had to move across the country with no advanced warning and wait out his father’s anger.

My friend, it should be mentioned, is a young man in his mid-20s. I don’t mean to be crude, but I’m pretty sure things would’ve ended differently (more negatively) if he were a young girl. Just something to think about, Benjamin.

This is so unfair. Unfortunately i found out she is the sister of that dude I was talking about. Now if she is engaged or not, I am not 100% sure. BUT…she did have rings on both of her hands. BIG SIGH dang, tomorrow I am just gonna ask her flat out if she is, then when the truth comes out, I have to say goodbye to those pretty smiles she flashes at me every time we are about to depart. :(😦

for the record Muslims, Mohammad was indeed a false prophet. And his death was embarrassing to say the least when you consider a Jewish women killed him. After all the power he gained and after all the land and everything else he conquered it was a WOMAN that put him to death. Pathetic.

If any Christian here wishes to pray for Muslims, then kindly do it in the following manner:

I would suggest that they pray for Muslims to seek guidance from the Lord in this manner for a spell in the privacy of their homes, preferably in the direction of Jerusalem if they like and I would also suggest that they do this immediately after they have taken their bath.

I am afraid Muslims really do NOT need nor want any other form of prayer from Christians.

However, for any prayers done for Muslims by Christians in the above-illustrated manner, then this particular Muslim would like to thank them in advance for their kind prayers.
If that would bring hamba2han and other Muslims closer to YHWH’s Word, then I think there is no problem praying like that, at the end YHWH is at all directions including Jerusalem & Mecca.

So the question now to hamba2han, will that please you and let you think deeply in YHWH’s Word…:hug1:

I understand, but she is engaged, even if predetermined. It is not right to get in the way of marriage. Moreover, You cannot stop it. But God can. However, He might not. He might have her go a way you cannot go to Heaven. Trust not your feelings but God.
Nick I have to ask but what do you mean its not right to get in the way of marriage. If we take a real look at what marriage is about we both know what is about to happen to that girl has absolutely nothing to do with marriage.

Yeah I see. Step by step I´m trying to let go. Though I´m getting now more depressed in my life and not just because of this situation but it does effect me.

Benjamin according to mainstream Islam a man who is Muslim can marry a woman who is Christian or Jewish because it will not interfere with him practicing Islam. For example he doesn’t have to drink alcohol or eat pork but a Muslim woman is not permitted to marry a non-Muslim man because it is assumed that the man would interfere with her ability to practice her religion because he would want to drink alcohol meaning she would have to purchase or keep alcohol in the house or he may want to eat pork and require that his wife cook it for him both of which are strictly forbidden by Islam so that is why a Muslim woman is not permitted to marry a non-Muslim man.
Thank you Aydan for your reply, I do appreciate it.

may I be in your prayers warrior:o
