I’m new here. So I don’t know if I’m doing this right. Let me say a few things about myself. First of all I’m 60 years old. I was born and raised Catholic. I was Baptized as a baby, made Communion later on, and I was Confirmed at the age that was done in the 1960’s. My Mother was very religious because she was born in Italy and had to live in a Convent for 3 years before the USA would allow her and her 2 sisters in. But in spite of all this, I never understood much about God. I also want to point out that in the 60’s the mass was still said in Latin, so I never knew what was going on. Due to depression, I left the church when I was 18. I became a kind of atheist. I considered everything spiritual a myth. Ironically at about 26 I became convinced Satan is real, which made me believe God must be real also. At about 27 I started reading the Bible. It took about 3 years but I read all of it. I read the NIV because I just don’t understand old English. At 30 I joined a Born Again church which I later found out was being lead by a false prophet. I no longer belong to any churches because I don’t find that the people obey God. A few years ago I was attending Mass in a very small church and I liked it. I sat in the front row, and I soon realized the whole point of the mass is to receive communion. I won’t do that because I have too many problems and questions with Catholicism.
My first one is why do you pray to Mary? I cannot find anything in the Bible that would justify praying to Mary.
