He is still married. It doesn’t matter whether or not he is Catholic. The priest at confession told her that he is still married in the eyes of the church, though she didn’t mention that he is not Catholic.
It’s in the realm of prudential judgment.but does this mean that she can’t even date him unless he is annulled? Is it considered adultery and is she in a state of mortal sin?
It’s not your business. Leave that between her, her priest, and her friend.I also don’t know how I would bring this up to my mom if she isn’t supposed to be dating him.
Again: it’s not your business and not your place. She did not ask for your opinion.I know it’s technically none of my business but as she is my mother I am of course worried for her soul. She would guide me not to be living in mortal sin so I want to do the same for her
This is the person to be following up with, not a bunch of strangers on some online forum. Just talk to the priestThe priest at confession told her that he is still married in the eyes of the church, though she didn’t mention that he is not Catholic.
