I have a quick question that I was just wondering about:

If a priest received his call to vocations after the death of his wife, can he be buried next to his wife or should he be buried separate from her because he is no longer married to her but is a Priest devoted to Christ?

Thanks

There wouldn’t be anything wrong with being buried next to his wife, anymore than there would for anyone else–after all, death is the only thing that ends a marriage, as Christ tells us that in the life to come “they neither marry nor are given in marriage.” So if you would say that a priest can’t be buried next to the wife to whom he was married before her death and before his ordination because he’s no longer married to her, then you can’t bury any spouses next to one another.
