The bible is pretty clear that a man leaves his parents and becomes one with his wife. If your wife objects I don’t see how you could proceed with the loan to your mom. I realize that you want to help your mom but your wife and kids are your first priority per the bible. Try thinking out of the box. Maybe there’s some other way you could help your mom.
