I agree that’s there’s too much pressure for women to work these days. I just feel cautious about condemning the ‘women’s movement’ overall because some things gained by this movement have been beneficial.

Didn’t realize that my old-school-as-they-come mother-in-law was a Marxist Radical! She and her ridiculous notion that she could be a doctor while having five children as well. For shame I say, for shame.

Her daily Mass attendance, ensuring that her husband (also a doctor!) or another family member was home with the kids whenever she worked, devotion to the Rosary… all of it for naught in terms of piety because she had the unmitigated gall to save children’s lives with her knowledge of medicine.

Gasp!
