I have a wheelchair bound mum and my dad is illIterate and they do not go for confession. Will GOD punish their sins in next life ? How can I help to avert God’s punishment ? pray the rosary and divine mercy + penance ?

I would suggest you have a talk with your parish priest. I very much doubt that your parents not attending Confession is due to any malice towards God (or mortal sin), rather it is brought about by their quite difficult circumstances which would mean external pressure as mentioned in The Catholic Catechism as disqualifying one from what is necessary to commit mortal sin (and only mortal sin has condemnation to Hell attached to it).
I think a talk with your parish priest would give you complete Peace of mind, heart and soul. We cannot know for sure what God’s Judgement on ourselves or others will be, we can only have a likely indication here on earth as to our Final Judgement. In other words, we can know to a certain degree whether we might be in the state of mortal sin or not. It is sometimes said that if one does not know if one is in the state of mortal sin or not, it is probably that one is not.

We all need ardent prayer for one to beg of The Lord His Infinite Loving Mercy - so absolutely, do pray! God does Infinitely Love us with Absolute Mercy, but this does not mean that we have any right to it…it is His Free Gift most especially to any and all who would ask and beg Him for it.

God bless and keep you and your parents, as I am confident that He indeed does! 🙂 Have a good talk with your parish priest and be in Peace.

Have them anointed. Their sins will be forgiven…

Ask them if they would like to have a priest come visit them. If they would like that, call the parish and ask the priest to come.

Your father’s illiteracy is not a bar to his going to Confession, but as an aside, if he is interested in learning to read, your local library should know about literacy programs, many of which are staffed by volunteers. If you all have some form of medical insurance which would cover this (I’m thinking that since your mother is disabled, you might be on MediCaid), his eyes could be checked very thoroughly for unusual problems which could cause him to have problems reading without special treatment.

I don’t know about where you live but most churches have a priest visit the homebound at least once for Confession & Communion. Then a Eucharistic minister can bring Communion until they need confession again.

Anointing of the Sick is for when people are suffering a physical problem which has a high potential for killing them soon, so not appropriate in this situation as described.

I had a similar but somewhat more benign problem, as one of my family members has hearing impaired and didn’t want to go to confession lest other people hear her sins. We asked a priest to come to her house and she had her confession.
