I know nothing bad or evil will happen in Heaven, but will it all be the same all the time?
I don’t think it will. For example, within the seasons of the Church, there are fast days, ferias and holy days; within the Mass there is the liturgy of the prayers, the liturgy of the Word and the liturgy of the Sacrament. While the liturgy of the prayers on a feria is a good thing, its good is of a different degree to the liturgy of the Sacrament on Easter Sunday. In the same way, I’d like to think there will be some variation in Heaven.
St Paul tells us that faith, hope and love endure. Faith and hope need to have some kind of power in Heaven if they are going to endure, so I guess the hope is the expectation of the even more specially good things that keep on getting better and better.
Or are we required by the faith to believe that Heaven will always be the same and never change? That it’s so perfect that it can’t get better.
