My dog was put to sleep today. In praying to God, I wondered if I sinned while praying that my dog have eternal life, as well as see me here in this life. I found the following from EWTN:
" A question that comes up frequently is whether people will see their pets in heaven. Now the Catechism of the Catholic Church does not directly address this question. But it does hold principles which lead us in the direction of an answer."
I read thread here on this query, and it is closed. Is there a definitive answer? And is putting dog to sleep a form of assisted suicide? Thanks.
