Will scattering ashes prevent the deceased from heaven?

Last year my brother died. We are baptized /confirmed Catholics but have not practiced the faith in 45 years. I just returned recently, had my marriage blessed in the church and attend mass and confession regularly. My brother did not in his adult life.

He died last year, a homeless and destitute alcoholic. I had his remains cremated and they were shipped to me. His 3 adult children all wanted the remains, which I mailed to them. I then learned they scattered his ashes in a secluded glen they used to go fish.

It never dawned on me to check with the church. I’m wondering if this in any way might have affected his heavenly disposition.

Thank you

No, what relatives do with our remains does not affect our judgment at death.
