Pat Robertson: Trump Will Win Reelection but the U.S. Will Be ‘Torn Apart’, War Will Break Out against Israel
Robertson, said he “was praying on Sunday saying, ‘God please tell me how it’s gonna happen’” and then sensed he had received a “word” from the Lord. CBN News labeled it a prophecy. Robertson himself said it was “according to what I believe the Lord told me.”
But first of all, I want to say without question, Trump is going to win the election. And that doesn’t mean you sit home and don’t vote – that means you get out and do everything you can,” Robertson said.
After Trump wins and is inaugurated in January, Robertson said, “trouble is going to happen.”
“He’s going to be challenged by the Chinese as you couldn’t believe, [he] will be faced probably with some kind of a war,” Robertson said.
“And after Trump is sworn in, we’re going to see civic disobedience in our America that will just be mind-boggling; the country will be torn apart,” Robertson said. “… There will be at least two attempts on the president’s life. And it’s going to be very difficult. So I would just urge you … you should pray for him.”
Amidst this turmoil, Ezekiel 38 will be fulfilled, Robertson said. The passage references God’s protection of Israel.
“It will be the opportunity for Iran and other Muslim countries “to come together against Israel. And that’s what Ezekiel says is going to happen.” There’s gonna be [an] opportunity to crush and destroy Israel. And so, there’s going to be a tremendous war against Israel. But the Bible says God Himself is going to defend Israel.”
It won’t be a nuclear war, Robertson said, but “God Himself is going to wipe out that horde of people that are coming against Israel.” “The next thing is going to happen is that God is going to bring a period of great peace,” Robertson said…(short version)

 
What basis is there for believing Pat Robertson is accurate in predicting the future?
 
This man has thought he has a private hotline to God for years. Too bad that God is often wrong!

Usually, Pat is just spouting off what he wishes would happen…how’s that for an insight into his brain…and he has millions of dollars from people that hope for the same thing. His only care about Israel is to fulfill prophesy for the end times that he’s been hoping for as well.

Sorry, this man is disturbed and many of his followers are as well.
 
When Pat Robertson gets Catholic bishop approval for his private revelations, I will pay attention to his predictions. Until then, they’re in the same bin with the astrology page.
 
Why is war against Israel central to his prophecy? Like oh America falls apart but war against Israel! Oh no!

Keep in mind that Evangelical Protestants, as well as Pentecostal (charismatic) Protestants believe the Bible when it says that a prophet must be 100% accurate in their predictions, or they are a FALSE prophet.

So…if Pres. Trump does NOT win re-election, Mr. Robertson is in deep doo-doo! False prophet.

And even if Pres. Trump DOES win, but only one other thing in Mr. Robertson’s prophecy does not happen, he is a false prophet.

I’m sure if he ends up making any mistakes in this prophecy, he will explain it away–he’ll claim it wasn’t a prophecy, but a vision of how things “COULD BE” if Christians voted the way they “SHOULD VOTE” but because Christians (mainly those pesky Catholics!) “DID NOT VOTE” the way they “SHOULD HAVE” voted, his vision didn’t happen the way God intended it to happen.

I’ve heard this kind of thing all my life when I was Evangelical Protestant. These “prophecies” almost always fail, and the “prophet” figures out a way to get out of the Biblical admonition that mistakes in prophecy indicate a false prophent.

Pat Robertson has a long history of “prophecies” that don’t come true. I think he has predicted the end of the world at least once before, maybe more than that. Nothing to see here.

Election in a week and a half .
 
I would suggest to Mr. Robertson that what he is saying can be found on a thousand blogs and numerous news sites already.

Yep. He’s seems like another one of those ‘Zionist Christians’ who always seem to be obsessed with Israel.

Funny thing is, even though I don’t believe he has been told anything about the future by God, his ‘prophecy’ could well come true, and I’m sure he’d give a big ‘told you so’ if it did. Trump could well win, and if he does, of course there is likely to be a lot of unrest, as there already has been up until now. There could also be attacks on Israel as there have been in the past (and Israel has also retaliated). None of this is unthinkable. It would be like somebody saying ‘If so and so wins and election there is going to be a lot of anger and much protesting against the result’ and then calling it ‘prophecy’.

Of course if some of this doesn’t happen, he’s still going to say God told him so, but that God must have changed the course of what was going to happen after telling him, possibly because of people’s prayers, or because enough donations were made to Robertson by worshippers to make God change his mind, or whatever else he thinks up.

I don’t put much stock in any one claiming to know the future, esp. when Jesus Himself said we know not the day or hour.

Furthermore, when Jesus or the Blessed Mother gives warnings of the future, it’s usually a future that we can still change, not a set future.

In regards to the what I quoted from the OP above, it doesn’t take a fortune teller to figure out that if Trump wins, the far left is going to throw another 4 year tantrum, and this one might even be worse.

I mean, I’m thinking a lot of this stuff is going to happen, does that make me a prophet, or just actively engaged in world politics?

I don’t know about God wiping out Israel’s enemies, though it’d be interested to see that happen. However, civil unrest, potential assassination attempts, potential war with China… Pretty much every political commentator I follow has the opinion that stuff like this is going to happen after the election.

Yeah I’ll pass on his fraudulent prophecies thank you. To be honest I don’t know why we even have a thread on his so called prophecies? I thought perhaps the OP isn’t a Catholic, but according to his profile, he is.
