I really don’t think that we will be bored in Heaven. The beatific vision will be far too magnificent and wonderful for us to ever get bored. I imagine we will spend all eternity contemplating the Holy Trinity.
When you read a very interesting book, hours can go by without your noticing it. The beatific vision (seeing God face to face) is not only interesting; it is infinitely interesting. An eternity will go by without your noticing it.
Saints/visionaries who’ve been at the receiving end of profound revelations/direct “glimpses” of God or heaven in some manner (BTW Pope Benedict maintained that God* is* heaven in ‘Jesus of Nazareth’), and whom the Church has accepted as the real thing, have stated that the BV is the source of inexhaustible happiness. Maybe it’s almost like asking if *God *ever gets bored-and since we’re to partake and participate in His very life and nature I suppose we’ll experience to one degree or another what He knows-and thus share in His own happiness-that’s His purpose for us.
