Will we wear clothing in the new heaven and earth?

Not that we can know for sure, but here’s my mind set:

After reading a good portion of the theology of the body, it says that at the end of the world, things will be returned to their original, blamless state and glorified to perfection.

Seeing as one of the purposes of clothing is to help prevent others from sinning (looking at others lustfully and what-not), and that man wont sin in the new world, whould there be a need for clothes anymore?

Of course, that isn’t the only purpose for clothing. It can also be used to compliment the person’s personality and reveal a little bit of what the person is like through what they wear.

What do you think?
 
If you read Revelation, you will notice that “white robes” and “crowns” are a very big thing in the next life. Granted, this is symbolic; but obviously God doesn’t have any objections to clothing.

Also, if you’ll recall in Genesis, God was the world’s first tailor. 🙂

I hope we don’t wear clothes!

When we will have perfected, sensuous bodies set free from sinful, climatic or hygienic requirements: it would be a shame to hide that sensuous skin!!!

And I don’t want anything to be between my skin and the Divine embrace 🙂

God promises we will be new creations and darn it, I want a new body!

If we get the ones we have now – please definitely clothes! Love my family and friends but I don’t need to see them naked :eek:

Just saying, I love this! Haha. But what it comes down to for me personally, that we will have no desires or shame in Heaven and we will not even THINK about clothing because we are not ashamed. We don’t have the same reason for clothes as humanity has had from Adam and Eve’s fatal sin.

Clothes, no clothes… doesn’t matter, I’ll be busy praising and thanking God if I am blessed enough to reach heaven…
Just as long as we get to wear CUTE SHOES!!:D
