Wishing to confirm my absolution was valid

I went to confession today, and when the priest gave the absolution, he stated the words correctly, except instead of saying “I absolve you of your sins…”, he stated "I by his authority absolve you of your sins…

I was just wishing to confirm that my absolution was still valid… Thanks!

I see no difference. The evil one is working on you! Tell him to go back to hell and ask St Michael and your guarding Angel to keep the devil away. Also, go back to confession on a regular basis and pray you don’t fall into being scrupulous!
