Theres also the risk that the demonic ashes may spread over many houses in the area and cause a wider occult influence. Best to shred.

Dispose them ASAP! I don’t know if the method matters honestly.

Thank you all for your replies. My question was originally posed because I didn’t know if there was an official way or traditional way of disposing of those items for converts to Catholicism. I don’t necessarily have a particular method, I just wanted to be sure to let people know that burning is definitely an option because of where I live, 10 miles from any town or village jurisdiction and I am practically in a swamp that stays wet all year. If I had green skin I might be mistaken for Shrek.

Many years ago, when I was away from the Catholic Faith, I was learning about New Age stuff and bought two or three crystals for meditation purposes. Shortly after I bought them I began feeling uncomfortable having them around and didn’t know what to do with them, fearing that just throwing them away would somehow cause something bad to happen to me. My husband got rid of them for me. I think he just tossed them in the dumpster without a thought.

A binder of papers? Seriously? Maybe if you live in a dessert or someplace in the middle of the doubt, but most places don’t have laws against burning a few papers and the OP might even have a fireplace in her house that she lights up anyway. Is there a reason to burn it? Not really, unless it’s symbolic in some way to the OP, but lets not pretend she’s breaking the law by doing so! To the OP, dispose of it as you like, burn it, bury it, shred it, or do the environmentally friendly thing and file it away in “big blue”.

There’s rules for respectfully disposing of Sacramentals (ironically, burning is a preferred method.) but not the new age nonsense of our misguided youth. Just chuck it however you normally get rid of paper products. Add it to the pile in the outhouse!

Unless people go digging through your recycling, it’s not realistically going to happen.

Racoon? Picked up by a homeless guy? Could happen. Is there any reason not to burn other than some local bylaws which the OP has stated don’t apply?

If you live in rural AL, try tannerite and get some fun out of it; send it out of your life with a bang! LOL 😆
Seriously, though, as others have said, the trash is fine.
