This whole pagan vs Catholic thing or Wiccan vs
Catholic thing is pointless.
If you wanted to be equally matched it would be
pagan/Wiccan vs Christians so that the whole
mishmash pick your most comfortable practice
vs mishmash pick your most comfortable practice
would work.
But here utter chaos is being argued against
Catholicism which has: set stated beliefs, set doctrines,
set practices, etc. it doesn’t work just because
pagan/Wiccan is NOT set anything- no rules, no
doctrine and has a no host buffet with being your
own gods format.

Like I havnt heard this rediculous claim before.
Christians are alwase claiming paganism is simply make your own rules and be your own god. This bogus claim sure gets the job done when trying to convince other christians of the wrongness of this “Neo-pagan” materialism, but its entirely false.
Paganism is far more open to interprate than Catholicism or as you said Christianity as a whole. Wiccans have central tenants that all Wiccans follow, as does asatruars with the 9 noble virtues. It’s not some build your own religion shmorgisboard where you chose your own morality and your own gods.
But your right they are extreamly difficult to argue vs one another. One has a rigid, near scientific aproach to religion and the other is very natural and free flowing.

Really? In my area we have tons of Wiccans- none
believe alike. More unfortunate none of them can
even explain what a Wiccan is. Answers such
as like we believe in Solstice without an actual knowledge
of the date, or wearing Harry Potter or Pirates
of the Caribbean putfits complete with dancing around
bonfires while stoned is the norm.
The only thing any of them agree on- Catholics bad
and stole all their holidays.

There is a great debate within Wiccanism as to wether the people you are describing are actualy Wiccan. Wicca in its pure form is far more structured than what people assume. Traditional Wicca is Wiccan Covens which trace a direct line of initiation back to Gardner himself. These traditions withing Traditional Wicca may vary a bit but they all use Gardners book of Shadows and are of his lineage. These are serious groups, who require a year and a day of training before initiating a new member, and are highly structured and ritualized, even if covens are independent. These people, traditional Wiccans, would likely not call those you speek of Wiccan.
There are a ton of “so called” Wiccans, or “Fluffies” who attach themselves to Wicca for various reasons, and truly understand little of the religion. These are Eclectic Wiccans. Now no all eclectic Wiccans are like this, there are devout solitary Eclectics as well as covens, but the “Fluffies” as well as the Femenist Dianic Wiccans seem to garner most media attention.
The Trad Wiccans would say none of these people are Wiccan. They may be religious witches but to them only a person initiated into a coven with a direct line to Gardner is a Wiccan. Others would disagree but that’s the debate. Wicca, and paganism in general, has had its PR jacked by opertunistic authors (such as star hawk) and 16 year old girls who think they can be hermione. Christianity faced a similar problem when rich Romans began converting to Christianity as to remain eligible for government jobs. People who do not understand the religion speeking on behalf of all its members. The Aryan nation tries to hijack Asatru in a similar way.

Where I live there are tons of Christians and they are constantly fighting, snubbing and backstabbing each other because of religion. I ask them questions and the only consistent answer I get is that I’m going to Hell because I’m not one of them.
