Hello everyone,
I hope you don’t mind me sharing this with you, yesterday (sat. 27.sept.) i went to the city of York to see an old friend I have known from early childhood. While walking around this ancient town we went to look at the famous York Minster,we could not get in as the doors were all shut, there was a wedding photo call happening on the steps. We stumbled across a little Catholic church(St.Wilfred’s),we went inside .While looking around my friend said,“do you like all this catholic stuff”?I said yes, I am catholic,he was surprised to say the least! “.What about all the scandals”?he asked,I said it happens in all denominations. "Well each to his own " he said,“Do you say Hail Mary’s and all that”?.I said yes,and he seemed satisfied at that,we left the church and i blessed myself on the way out,he said nothing at this, but i am hoping he will have seen another side to me.I should add we met up a year ago after losing touch for many years,he is emigrating to Canada next week.I am so pleased I managed to tell him about my faith, and who knows,he may start to ponder things for himself, I really hope so.Thank you for sharing this with me, hope I have not bored you too much!

Mick, it’s little, seemingly insignificant, instances as this that can begin the turning of a heart to God. You were a true friend to him. 🙂

I think that’s a great way to witness your faith without being overbearing or “in your face”. Thanks for posting …

Hi simon X ,thank you, and all who answer I thank you in advance,
God Bless,
Mick.

I would say, “Well done”.

Your post describes simple honest answers to his questions.
